With the return of a Superman movie in theaters, DC Comics needed a fresh contemporary and trend-based

product approach. Utilizing brand assets and merging them with concepts based on the modern mythology of the “Man of Steel,”

a revolutionary / evolutionary system was created to assist licensees and manufacturers to develop products true to the super hero brand. Retail trend research and mood boards set up the range of aesthetics. Uniquely composed graphics were then created from

building-block elements provided as digital assets. Not only were the graphic interpretations true to the brand, but also

the construction, materials and purpose of each product communicated Superman.
